Play Centre "Babysitting Service"
The YMCA's Babysitting service at the MacBain Community Centre will allow YMCA adult members to participate in the Centre's programs with the assurance that their child is being cared for in a values-based, friendly, safe and caring environment.
Our new YMCA will enable us to provide a wide variety of preschool and children's programs along with barbysitting in a bright, air conditioned environment with new play toys and learning resources to accommodate the needs and interests of all children.
Play Centre Hours
Monday - Sunday 9:00am-12:00pm
Thursday 1:00pm-3:00pm
Monday - Thursday 5:15-8:00pm
Fee for Service
Hourly fee per child - $2.00
Member only Monthly Pass - $30.00 per child
Parents are required to remain in the building at all times.
Babysitting is open to MacBain Community Centre participants. Priority will be given to YMCA members, but parents who are coming to the Library or another MacBain Community Centre progam may use Babysitting.
Safety of Children
For your child’s security we ask that:
- Children are signed in and out
- Food not be brought in to the Play Centre due to food allergies
- Parents provide disposable diapers, wipes and a bottle or sippy-cup with juice or water.
- All personal articles are labelled with the child’s full name
The YMCA is a shared space for everyone to enjoy. If your child has any kind of infection (cold/flu) or symptoms of, please refrain from bringing him/her to the Play Centre.
